About the Program
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate academic degree program that focuses on the study of physical movements, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various physical impairments and disabilities. The course duration of BPT is four and a half years, including six months of clinical internship.
During the BPI program, students leam about human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise therapy, electrotherapy. neurology, orthopaedics, and sports medicine. They also acquire practical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of
various physical conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, neurological impairments and cardiorespiratory disorders.
Eligibility Criteria:
Pass in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as major subjects with 45% marks (in average) and passed in individual subjects
Admission Criteria:
The candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criterion for various courses are selected by the admission committee of the institute purely on merit basis and the interview conducted for the purpose. Eligibility concessions, if any, are as per the Tripura Govt rules and regulations.
The applicants must bring their original mark sheets and relevant pass certificates along with attested photocopies of the same when coming for interview.
